Default Netcool scope-based grouping - with a rolling window of 15 minutes

IBM Cloud Pak® for AIOps provides a preset (or default) Netcool scope-based grouping policy. Provided that the ScopeID field in your IBM Netcool Operations Insight system is mapped to the alert.resource.scopeId field in Cloud Pak for AIOps, this policy uses that value to create scope-based groupings. The policy is enabled by default.

If scope-based grouping is used in an existing Netcool environment, you need to disable correlation_triggers groups in the ObjectServer infrastructure, and the correlation needs to done at the Cloud Pak for AIOps layer.

Condition set

If this condition is met:

Table #1. Condition set

Value of: alert.resource.scopeId not empty

The following action is taken: Create a scope-based grouping.

ScopeID

The ScopeID are the properties that define the scope for how alerts are grouped.

The ScopeID in this policy is alert.resource.scopeId.

Time window

This default policy has a 900-second Rolling time window. That is, 900 seconds is the threshold that needs to pass with no further alerts, after which the system stops including alerts in the group.
