Data acquisition

Each probe uses a different method to acquire data. Which method the probe uses depends on the target system from which it receives data.

The Probe for IEC CIM Advanced Metering Infrastructure acquires data from the Advanced Metering Infrastructure by publishing a web service, using the SOAP and WSDL technologies. The service can receive AMI events from devices that are compliant with the IEC Common Information Model (CIM) standards IEC 61968-9 and 61968-100.
