Data acquisition

Each probe uses a different method to acquire data. Which method the probe uses depends on the target system from which it receives data.

The Probe for Nortel Preside EAI is a unidirectional interface that resynchronizes historical data with the element manager at configurable intervals. The Nortel EAI sends the probe all network events and network element messages in real time. The probe processes these events and forwards them to the ObjectServer.
