Hash tables
When the probe receives raise and clear alarms for network elements, it adds the corresponding type, name, and shelf type for the network element to the alarm data. This data comes from a lookup hash table that is populated from data in the network element enrollment alarms. As a key to this lookup table, the probe uses a concatenation of the IP address, type identifier, and network element identifier. You can specify the maximum size of the hash table that the probe uses to store this information by setting the HashTableSize property.
