Troubleshooting security related issues

Some known security related issues in Managed services.

  • If you deploy multiple template instances with the same SSH key content to the IBM Cloud environment, an issue occurs when trying to delete the instances.

  • You can only view the deployments (template instances and service instances) that are allowed for the specified namespace. Namespace dropdown allows you to switch between the available namespaces and to see the deployments of those namespaces.

    Note: If your user role is not authorized to perform a certain action, a 401 (unauthorized) error occurs in the API. However, the error is not displayed in the user interface. Symptoms may include buttons that do not respond to clicks or the page redirects in the user interface. For example, When you click deploy, the page gets redirected back to the list of instances without performing deployment. If you are logged in as an LDAP user, then go to IBM Cloud Pak for AIOps user interface and ensure that the user is assigned to a team that has access to one or more namespaces.

  • Examine the following logs for security related issues:

    • cam-iaas
    • cam-orchestration
    • cam-portal-api

    Note: LDAP is configured in the IBM Cloud Pak for AIOps user interface. You can use roles in Managed services only if the LDAP is configured.
