Managing Access Control
The Access Control tab is only visible to administrator users or the users with Cloud Pak administrator user roles. When you log in to the Infrastructure Automation UI console, any user with a role that is specific to Managed services
is automatically added to the cam-default-team
team.
To manage user access to certain namespaces, use the following actions:
Create Team
In order for users to have access to certain namespaces, you need to create a team. Only an administrator can create a team. Use the following steps to create a team:
- Click Manage > Access Control in the Infrastructure Automation UI console.
- Click Create Team.
- Enter the name of the team that you want to create.
- Select the users, groups, and namespaces from different tabs and click Save. The team is shown in the list after you create it.
Edit Team
When a team is created, you can later modify the users, groups, and namespaces that exist within a team. Use the following steps to edit a team:
- Click Manage > Access Control in the Infrastructure Automation UI console.
- Go to the table and select the team that you want to edit.
- Click the overflow menu and select Edit Team. The dialog box appears with existing information.
- Modify the users, groups, and namespaces as required.
- Click Save. The team that you edited is shown in the list.

You can delete a team anytime after it is not in use by any user. Use the following steps to delete a team:

- Go to the table and select the team that you want to delete.
- Click the overflow menu and select Delete.
- Type
