Security considerations

Infrastructure Automation supports different mechanisms for securing your environment and your data. In addition, as you are planning or going through an installation of Infrastructure Automation, you might need to create or provide certificates. For more information, see Security considerations.

Licensing

As part of using Infrastructure Automation, tracking your license usage is required. Although Infrastructure Automation provides license options not tracked directly by the product, to track usage, you must deploy the IBM Cloud Pak foundational services License Service on all clusters where Infrastructure Automation is installed. This background service collects and stores the license usage information for tracking license consumption and for audit purposes. For more information, Licensing.

Passport Advantage part numbers

You might need to download a package from IBM® Passport Advantage® to install Infrastructure Automation. This requirement can be due to your entitlement or based on how you choose to install Infrastructure Automation. For more information, see Passport Advantage part numbers.
