Draft and archived policies

Procedure

1. In the AI Model Management, under Trainable AI algorithms, click the Alert seasonality detection or Temporal grouping tile.

2. On the overview page, click the Draft and archived policies tab.

   A policies table is displayed with two views: Draft and Archived. To search the list of policies in either view, click anywhere in the Search field and enter a search term. The system shows in the table all policies that contain the search term in the policy names and the policy conditions. Click Refresh to refresh the table at any time.

3. If present, draft policies once reviewed can be deployed if preferred or moved to archived if unwanted.

   When applying actions to draft or archived policies, you can multi-select policies in the table and apply actions to all of your selections at one time. Use the checkboxes at the beginning of the table rows to select multiple policies. You can also select all policies in the table by clicking the checkbox in the table header beside Policy name. A banner above the table displays the number of policies that are selected, together with a menu of options. The actions for draft and archived policies are explained below.

• Draft policies

  The Draft tab displays policies that are suggested by AI analytics. Click the options menu (three vertical dots) at the end of a table row to display all of the options available for draft policies:

  • View justification

    Further investigate the seaonality or temporal details and the justification for the policy creation. For more information, see Seasonality policy details and Temporal policy details.

  • Deploy

    Deploy policies that you want to act on incoming alerts. Policies that are deployed from here appear in the Cloud Pak for AIOps Policies table. Click Manage deployed policies to display the Policies table that is filtered to include only temporal or seasonal policies. Any existing filters are removed.

  • Archive policy

    Archive policies that are not in use.

  • Delete policy

    Delete the policy. Note, deleted policies are removed from both the Draft and Archived views. This action cannot be undone.

• Archived policies

  Policies that have been archived by administrators or senior operators are shown in the Archived view. Archived policies do not act on incoming alerts. Click the options menu on any archived policy to display the available options:

  • View justification

  • Deploy

Draft policies can also be either Archived or Deleted.

  • Unarchive policy

    When a policy is unarchived, it is visible again in the Draft view.

  • Delete policy

    Delete the policy. Note, deleted policies are removed from both the Draft and Archived views. This action cannot be undone.
