Enabling and disabling guided tours

As an administrator, you can customize the IBM Cloud Pak for AIOps console to enable or disable the Tours feature for all users on the platform.

If you do not need the tours to be available to users, you can disable the feature. If you, or another administrator, previously disabled the feature and you want the tours available for your users, you can enable the feature.

Tours are included in the Cloud Pak for AIOps console to help users learn about the IBM Cloud Pak for AIOps platform and features. Some tours introduce high-level concepts, while others offer step-by-step guidance. More tours can be accessed by a user at any time from the Cloud Pak for AIOps console page that is assoicated with the feature to get a better understanding of how to get started with different tasks and components. Users can access available tours by clicking the Tours icon Tours icon in the Cloud Pak for AIOps console toolbar, and clicking their preferred tour.

First-time users are also presented with a guided tour upon login to the Cloud Pak for AIOps console. This tour introduces them to the various home page components, shows how to access tools and capabilities, and where to complete key tasks across the platform.

Before you begin

Required permissions: To customize the home page, you must have one of the following permissions:

  • Administer platform

Procedure

  1. Log in to the IBM Cloud Pak for AIOps console.

  2. From the navigation menu, select Administration > Customizations.

  3. Click Tours.

  4. Change the setting of the Enabled/Disabled toggle to either enable or disable the tours feature and to hide the Tours icon Tours icon in the Cloud Pak for AIOps console toolbar.

    Your selection is saved and applied automatically.
