Error messages

Error messages provide information about problems that occur while running the probe. You can use the information that they contain to resolve such problems.

The following table describes the error messages specific to this probe. For information about generic Netcool/OMNIbus error messages, see the IBM Tivoli Netcool/OMNIbus Probe and Gateway Guide.

Error	Description	Action
`Exception acknowledging alarm`	The probe was unable to acknowledge the alarm.	Check the exception information and take the appropriate action.
`Exception unacknowledging alarm`	The probe was unable to unacknowledge the alarm.	Check the exception information and take appropriate action.
`Error: Connection URL String not set`	The resynchronization or the update HTTP connection URL has not been set.	Check the values set for the ResyncHTTPConnectionURL and UpdateHTTPConnectionURL properties.
`Malformed URL in HTTPTransport`	The URLs specified by the HTTP URL properties are both malformed.	Check that the you have specified a valid URL in the ResyncHTTPConnectionURL and UpdateHTTPConnectionURL properties.
`Error connecting to endpoint in HTTPTransport`	The resynchronization or the update HTTP connections are unable to connect.	Check that valid URLs have been specified and also check that the U2000 MTOSI interface is available.
`Error getting content from`	The probe was unable to receive content from the endpoint.	Check that the U2000 MTOSI interface is available.
`Error creating transformer:`	Unable to create the XSLT transformer.	Check that TransformerFile property has been set correctly and the Transformer module has been correctly installed.
`Failed to write to stream capture file:`	The probe was unable to write to the file specified by the StreamCaptureFile property.	Check that the StreamCaptureFile property has been set correctly and the probe user has WRITE permissions.
`Failed to transform:`	The transformer module was unable to convert the event into the appropriate XML format.	Run the probe in debug mode and check that the response from the U2000 server is valid XML.
`Failed to close stream capture file`	The probe could not save the changes made to the stream capture file.	Check that this file exists and the local user has WRITE permissions.
`Error while disconnecting from JMS:`	The probe could not disconnect properly from JMS.	Check that the JMS endpoint is running and is accessible from your network.
`Unable to match active alarm count:`	The file referenced by the ResyncFilterFile property has been specified incorrectly and therefore the probe was unable to get an active alarm count.	Run the probe in debug mode and ensure that the get active alarm count XML request returns valid XML.
`Error creating transport factory for JMS` `General error creating JMS transport`	The transport module failed to connect to JMS.	Check that the nominated transport file is valid.
