Data acquisition

Each probe uses a different method to acquire data. Which method the probe uses depends on the target system from which it receives data.

The probe connects to Tandem SCP devices using a TCP/IP connection. When the connection is made, the device automatically sends events to the probe.

When the connection to the device is successful, the probe sends the ProbeWatch message specified by the Conn_Up property to the ObjectServer. If the connection fails, the probe sends the ProbeWatch message specified by the Conn_Down property.
