Performance considerations for tickets data collection

When you configure ticketing integrations in Cloud Pak for AIOps, it is important to consider the following performance factors:

• Use filters when possible to reduce the risk of exceeding the limitations of the API or integration. The filters available for each integration are documented in the topic for each integration.
• Each integration needs a unique API token. Each API token has its own requests limit. If integrations share API tokens, then they are at a risk of exceeding the request limits.
• If the GitHub or Jira integrations exceed API rate limits from the target system, there might be a delay in data collection. The GitHub or Jira integrations implement a pause and wait strategy until the API rate limit is refreshed before making additional requests.
• If available in the UI for the integration that you are configuring, you can adjust the data collection interval to reduce the resource usage of the integration.
