Installation and upgrade health checks
To prepare your cluster for installing or upgrading IBM Cloud Pak for AIOps, and to ensure the health of your deployment afterwards, you can run prerequisite checks and health checks.
Install readiness checks
To help ensure that your cluster is ready to begin an installation of IBM Cloud Pak for AIOps, run the following health check:
-
Request that your IBM Sales representative (or Business Partner) uses the IBM Cloud Pak for AIOps custom sizing tool to create a sizing profile to meet your operation workload needs. By having this profile before you begin an installation, you can help to ensure that you have the allocated resources for handling your workload volumes. Contact your IBM Sales representative (or Business Partner) for more information about this tool. For more information about custom sizing, see Hardware requirements - Custom sizing.
-
After you prepare your storage and Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform cluster, install and run the IBM Cloud Pak for AIOps prerequisite checker tool. Running this tool verifies whether your Red Hat OpenShift cluster is correctly set up for an IBM Cloud Pak for AIOps installation. For more information about the script, and how to download and run it, see github.com/IBM.
For more information about running the prerequisite checker during an installation, see:
Post-installation health check
After you complete your installation of IBM Cloud Pak for AIOps and some time is passed, run the MustGather tool with the healthcheck
option to check the current health of your deployment and Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform
cluster.
For more information about installing and running this tool, see:
-
Installing the MustGather tool
Important: Ensure that your installed version of the tool is
v1.17.6
or newer. Some healthcheck data is only gathered with versionv1.17.6
and newer. -
Running the MustGather tool (healthcheck)
When running the tool, use the following command:
waiops-mustgather.sh -DO healthcheck
