Cisco APIC

Cisco Application Policy Infrastructure Controller (APIC) is the key architectural component of Cisco Application Centric Infrastructure (ACI). It is the unified point of automation, management, monitoring, and programmability for the ACI.

APIC provides northbound REST APIs through which the IBM Tivoli Netcool/OMNIbus Probe for Cisco APIC can communicate with the systems that APIC monitors. The probe can acquire JavaScript Object Notification (JSON) events from the REST APIs using the WebSocket protocol. It converts these events into Netcool/OMNIbus events and sends them to the ObjectServer.
