Known Issues

The following issue is a known problem with Probe for IBM Tivoli EIF.

The probe fails to shutdown the probe-nonnative wrapper cleanly under Windows PA control

To work around the problem you must configure the process agent configuration file. The process agents are programmes that manage a process within the system. To shut down the probe-nonnative wrapper cleanly under Windows PA control you must specify the following command in the process agent configuration file:

Command '%OMNIHOME%\probes\win32\nco_p_nonnative

%NCHOME%\platform\win32\jre_1.5.6\jre\bin\javaw -Xrs -cp
%OMNIHOME%\probes\win32\nco_p_tivoli_eif.jar;%OMNIHOME%\probes\win32\NSP
robe.jar;%OMNIHOME%\java\jars\evd.jar;%OMNIHOME%\java\jars\log.jar
nco_p_tivoli_eif' run as 0

The default process agent configuration file is in the following location: $NCHOME/omnibus/etc/nco_pa.conf

For more information about configuring the process agent configuration file, see Administration the server components in the Netcool/OMNIbus Administration Guide (SC23-9681-00).

Error seen when PortMapper is enabled

When PortMapper is set to true, the following Unable to bind to socket transportTransportList=t1 error is seen in the probe log file:
