Managing ChatOps insights
The insights produced by IBM Cloud Pak® for AIOps surface in ChatOps. Whether you use Slack or Microsoft Teams as your ChatOps interface, the experience is consistent with the IBM Cloud Pak for AIOps Platform UI.
For more information about setting up ChatOps integrations, see:
Prerequisites
When you configure your ChatOps integration, you must set up two types of channels for your insight flow
- A reactive channel for your incidents and alerts
- A proactive channel for notifications (from change risk)
Verifying your ChatOps integration
After you create your ChatOps integration, you can use the reactive channel to verify that the integration is up and running, by tagging the bot. For example, @<bot_name>
hello.
To get the botName, see Configuring Slack or Configuring Microsoft Teams for more details.
In Microsoft Teams, when you enter hello
the response is I'm sorry, I don't understand the message
. This response indicates that although it does not understand the message, the message was received, so the integration
is verified.
Welcome tour
In Slack, after you are added to the reactive channel, you will receive a welcome message.

Choose one of the following options:
-
Take tour Provides an example of incident notification details.
-
Close welcome Closes the welcome message.
-
