EAI target failover processing
The Probe for Nortel Preside
EAI allows
for failover processing between the primary Nortel Preside server and a failover
server. This functionality is configured using the EAIRestartOnIdleTimeout, EAITargetFailover, EAITargetFailoverPort and EAITargetFailoverHost properties.
If the probe fails to receive a heartbeat from the primary server for the
number of times specified by the EAIRestartOnIdleTimeout property
and the EAITargetFailover property is set to 1,
the probe automatically disconnects from the primary Nortel Preside server
and connects instead to the backup server specified by the EAITargetFailoverHost and EAITargetFailoverPort properties.
Note: If the EAIRestartOnIdleTimeout property
is set to 0, the probe will wait indefinitely for heartbeats
from the primary server regardless of the setting of the EAITargetFailover property.
