Name resolution

If you are using a naming service, such as Domain Name System (DNS) or Network Information Service (NIS), the IP address of each host can be written in either dotted quad format (for example, or can be assigned a human-readable host name.

By default, the HostNameResolution property is set to true. At this default setting, the probe resolves all dotted quad IP addresses to hostnames in events pushed to the OMNIbus. This option can improve the performance of the probe.
