System requirements

Ensure that these requirements are met before you deploy OpenShift Container Platform accelerator and OpenShift Container Platform with OCS accelerator to your system.

  • IBM Cloud Pak® System V2.3.3.3 Interim Fix 1.

  • IBM® OS image for Red Hat Linux Systems) 64-Bit, 7.9 (RHEL 7.9 X64), base OS image Version 3.1.3.0:198, which is available with IBM Cloud Pak System 2.3.3.3 Interim Fix 1 default data.

  • IBM OS Image for Red Hat Enterprise Linux CoreOS 4.6.1, which is applicable with IBM Cloud Pak System accelerator bundle for Red Hat Openshift 4.6.0.0. It is supported with IBM Cloud Pak System 2.3.3.3 Interim Fix 1.

  • IBM Cloud Pak System Registry Service that is connected to either an external Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform docker repository or internal Docker Private Registry with available OpenShift Container Platform 4.6.1 images.

Red Hat Satellite Six Service that is connected to an external or internal Red Hat Satellite Server with the following packages for use with the Helper Node: rhel-7-server-rpms rhel-7-server-extras-rpms

If you are using an external NFS Server for the OpenShift Image Registry, provide permission for OpenShift to access the NFS directory. For example, if /export/ocp is the exported directory, then run the following commands:

    Set the file access permission:

    chmod 777 /export/ocp/

    Add the following to /etc/export:

    /export/ocp *(rw,nohide,insecure,no_subtree_check,async,no_root_squash)

Note: NFS and external NFS are applicable only for the OpenShift Container Platform 4 - HA topology variant. For OpenShift Container Platform 4 - HA with OCS topology variant, OpenShift Container Storage V4.5 is used for storage.
