Configuring Internet Group Management Protocol snooping

Use the console to configure your switch to enable or disable Internet Group Management Protocol (IGMP) snooping.

About this task

Note: IGMP snooping is available as a global setting for ToR switches. It can be enabled or disabled any time.

Procedure

  1. Click System > Network Configuration.
  2. In the Optional section, expand the node for Additional Networking Features.
  3. Select or clear IGMP Snooping.
  4. Confirm your choice by clicking OK in the resulting prompt.

Results

A job to enable or disable IGMP snooping runs. This job usually takes a few minutes to complete.

If you enable IGMP snooping, a new column displays in the VLANs table after the job completes: IGMP Snooping Enabled. This column indicates whether IGMP snooping is enabled for a VLAN. When you add a VLAN, an Enable IGMP snooping field is available. Use this field to specify whether you want to enable IGMP snooping for the VLAN. For more information, see Adding system connections.
