Administering default virtual images for deployments
You can add or modify default virtual images that you want to use for deploying shared services and virtual applications.
Before you begin
Procedure
Click .
- To add a default image for the ESX hypervisor, click
Add, select the image to be set as default image, and click
Add.Note:
- At most, you can set one Linux image and one Microsoft Windows image as the default image for the ESX hypervisor. If you attempt to add more than one image for either operating system, an error occurs.
- If you have more than one default image that is set for the ESX hypervisor, you can choose the preferred image to use when you deploy a virtual application.
- To change the default image for the ESX hypervisor, click
Add, select the new image to be set as default image, and click
Update.Important:
- You must use a supported base image. For a list of supported base images, see virtual application pattern requirements in the Related tasks section.
- If required, you can extend the base image. For information about extending an image, see the Related tasks section.
