Viewing jobs in the jobs queue

Viewing the started and pending jobs in the system can help you monitor the running jobs.

Before you begin

You must be assigned the Hardware administration role with permission to View all hardware resources (Read-only) to perform these steps.

About this task

You can use the console, the command line interface, or the REST API to complete this task. For the command line and REST API information, see the Related information section.

Procedure

  1. Click System > Job Queue.
  2. View all the started and pending jobs.
    The following types of jobs are displayed:
    • Creating a virtual system instance (Instances create)
    • Deleting a virtual system instance (Instances delete)
    • Stopping a virtual system instance (Instances update)
    • Starting a virtual system instance (Instances update)
    • Storing a virtual system instance (Instances update)
    • Applying service to a virtual system instance (Instances update)
    • Adding a virtual image (Images create)
    • Deleting a virtual image (Images delete)
    • Importing a virtual image (import)
    • Exporting a virtual image (update)
    • Backing up the system (Backup)
    • Restoring the system (Restore)
    • Updating the firmware on the system (Fix Packs startup)
    • Shutdown of the system (Shutdown)
  3. To display the internal jobs that are currently running on the system, select the Display Internal Jobs check box. If this check box is not selected, only the jobs started by the current user are displayed.
  4. To review which blocking jobs are running on the system, see the indicator in the Blocking column.
