Delete a file system snapshot

Use this operation to delete a specified snapshot for a specified IBM Storage Scale file system.

Procedure

  1. Expand the Create and Manage Snapshots section of the GPFS_Manager operations.
  2. Expand the Delete a file system snapshot node.
  3. In the Snapshot name field, specify the name of the snapshot to delete.
  4. In the File system name field, specify the name of the IBM Storage Scale file system to which this operation applies.
  5. Click Submit.
  6. Click Confirm when asked to validate your request.

Results

When you run this operation, a new entry is displayed under the Operation Execution Results list, with the name Delete a file system snapshot. When completed, the status of the operation changes from Active to Done, and the Return Value column displays the result of the operation, similar to the following example:
