Uninstalling an external IBM Storage Scale Tiebreaker node

You can uninstall an external IBM Storage Scale Tiebreaker node. This procedure uninstalls the external IBM Storage Scale Tiebreaker binary files from the operating system and removes the pattern files. Associated log files are copied to the /tmp/gpfsUninstall if needed for future reference.

Procedure

  1. On the primary node of your IBM Storage Scale cluster, run the Remove Member operation and remove the tiebreaker from your IBM Storage Scale cluster.
  2. On the external IBM Storage Scale Tiebreaker node, run this script: /opt/IBM/GPFSPattern/gpfs/gpfsInstall/unInstallExternalNode.sh.
  3. Change to the root .ssh directory and review the keys and the authorized_keys file. Remove any unwanted entries.
  4. Review the files in the /tmp/gpfsUninstall directory and archive files as needed.
