Granting user access to virtual machine instances

Administrators can use the console to grant users access to virtual machine instances in the system.

Before you begin

You must be granted access to the virtual machine or have the Workload resources administration with Full permission to complete this task.

1. Click Patterns > Virtual Machines.
2. Select the virtual machine instance in the left navigation window.
3. In the main window, locate the Access granted to field. Initially, this field is set to the role of the owner of the virtual machine.
4. Click the Add more entry field to provide access for more users or groups of users. For each user or group of users in this list, you can specify whether they have read, write, or all access by clicking the link next to the user or group name.
5. Click Remove to remove the user or group from the access list.
