Viewing and regenerating passwords for external applications

View and regenerate passwords for external applications from the console.

Complete the steps in Configuring external application access.

About this task

To access the ESXi host web client, you need the compute node credentials for the external application users that you created when you configured external application access. Complete the steps in this task to retrieve or regenerate the password for those user accounts.

Procedure

  1. Click System > System Settings.
  2. Expand External Application Access Settings.
  3. Click Show details in the Actions column.
  4. Click Show passwords to view the passwords or Regenerate passwords to create new passwords.
