Increasing storage for a DB2 virtual application pattern before it is deployed

Before you deploy a virtual system database pattern, you can increase the amount of storage space allocated to the database pattern you are configuring.

Before you begin

Ensure that you have the correct permissions to create and edit virtual system patterns.

About this task

To add additional disk space to the database before you deploy a virtual system pattern, complete the following steps:

Procedure

  1. In the Pattern Editor pane for the pattern that you are creating, click Add-Ons.
  2. Select the Default raw disk option and drag it on to the existing DB2® section on the canvas. Once this is done, you should see the disk within the DB2 part of the pattern.
  3. Click Done editing to save the changes.
  4. Click Deploy and enter your deployment configuration details. In the Configure all raw disks for use by DB2 drop down list, select yes. In the DISK_SIZE_GB section, enter the amount of disk space that you want to allocate to the DB2 part.
