Uninstalling the product

Use this information to uninstall Cloud Pak System Software.

Procedure

  1. Log in to the Platform System Manager, and run the uninstall.sh script from the /opt/ibm/pureapp-software directory.
  2. If you have active workloads in your environment, use the -f option to force the uninstallation to continue.
    A message verifying you want to uninstall the product with active workloads running is displayed. If you do not specify the -f option, the process exits by default.
  3. Use the /var/log/purescale/purescale.log file to monitor the progress or to troubleshoot if problems occur.

What to do next

After the uninstall is complete, reboot the operating system that was used for the Platform System Manager to ensure that all background processes are stopped.
