Extending the System Monitoring shared service with custom hypervisor images
There are several recommendations and requirements for using custom hypervisor images with the System Monitoring service.
Actions that might impact monitoring of hypervisor images
By default, system monitoring is supported on the hypervisor images that are provided with the system.Note: If you take any of
the following actions on these images, you might negatively impact
the monitoring function:
- Removing required operating system packages.
- Restricting rights or access to the root or
virtuseraccounts. - Blocking outgoing ports that are used by the monitoring agents.
- Enabling SELinux.
