Enabling the security banner

Enable and customize the log in security banner.

Before you begin

You must be assigned the Security administration role with permission to Manage security (Full permission) to perform these steps.

About this task

Use the System Security page to enable and customize the security banner that displays at the top of the console log in page.

Procedure

  1. Click Security and access > System Security.
  2. Expand Login Security Banner.
  3. Select Enable security banner to enable the security banner to display on the console log in page.
  4. Type the security banner text in the Security banner text/html box.
    For example,
    <p align="center"><strong style="color:red">WARNING</strong></p>
<p align="center"><strong style="color:red">WE ARE MONITORING YOUR ACTIONS!</strong></p>
<p align="center"><strong style="color:red">ANYONE USING THIS SYSTEM EXPRESSLY CONSENTS TO SUCH MONITORING.</strong></p>
  5. Click Preview to preview the security banner.
  6. Click Save to save the security banner or click Cancel to close the security banner preview window.
