Removing an event receiver

Specify one or two event receivers when you deploy an internal System Monitoring shared service. You can remove an event receiver when necessary.

Before you begin

The receiver of events is specified when you deploy an internal System Monitoring shared service. Note that you cannot remove an event receiver for an external System Monitoring shared service. To remove an event receiver for an internal System Monitoring shared service, complete the following steps.

Procedure

  1. Click Patterns > Shared Services Instances. If you are on 2.3.3.3, click Patterns > Manage > Shared Service Instances. The Shared Service Instances page displays a list of shared service instances that are currently available. The list is displayed in a table format, providing some basic details about each instance.
    The following functions are available for you to work with the list of shared service instances:
    Refresh
    Refreshes the status of the shared service instances and updates the fields on the Shared Service Instances page.
    Create New
    Click Create New to create a new shared service instance.
    Filter
    Enter a term that is used to filter the shared service instances that display on the page.
  2. Select the instance of the System Monitoring shared service from which you are removing an event receiver.

  3. Click Manage.
    The Instance Console window opens and the Monitoring pane is displayed.
  4. Click the Operations tab.
    The Operations pane is displayed.
  5. Click HTEMS.
    The operations that you can perform are listed.
  6. Click the plus sign (+) beside Remove Event Forwarding to expand this section.
  7. Specify the event receiver to remove:
    • To stop forwarding events to the Cloud Pak System Software Event Receiver, click Forward events to IBM Cloud Pak System Event Receiver.
    • To stop forwarding events to an external event receiver, click Forward events to external event receiver and then enter the external event receiver address.
  8. Click Submit.
