Plug-ins define the components, links, and policies that you use in the Pattern Builder to create virtual application patterns, or extend existing virtual application patterns.

You can also develop your own custom plug-ins. Custom plug-ins add behavior and function that users can use to enhance and customize the operation of their virtual applications.
