Fields for the Storage allocation by cloud group report

The following fields can be displayed in storage allocation by cloud group reports.

About this report

This report tracks the allocation of LUNs from both internal and external storage. The summary row of the table shows totals for all user storage.

Report fields

Cloud Group: This field specifies the cloud group to which the storage statistics apply. It is set to (none) for storage volumes that are not part of a cloud group and to System LUNs for storage that is used by the system.

Allocated Storage (GB): This field specifies the amount of storage, in GB, reserved for each cloud group, whether the storage is being used or not. It is the sum of the size of all LUNs associated with the cloud group.
Internal Storage (GB): This field specifies the amount of storage, in GB, reserved for the cloud group, from internal storage.
External Storage (GB): This field specifies the amount of storage, in GB, reserved for the cloud group, from external storage.
Attached Storage (GB): This field specifies the total storage, in GB, used by operating system volumes and storage volumes that are attached to instances in the cloud group.; The total of the values in the Attached Storage (GB) and Unattached Storage (GB) columns might be less than the total allocated because LUNs for VMFS volumes are shared and allocated in fixed sizes.
Unattached Storage (GB): This field specifies the total storage, in GB, used by storage volumes that belong to the cloud group, but are not attached to instances.; The total of the values in the Attached Storage (GB) and Unattached Storage (GB) columns might be less than the total allocated because LUNs for VMFS volumes are shared and allocated in fixed sizes.
30-day Average Allocation (GB): This field specifies the average value, in GB, for the allocated Storage over the last 30 days.
30-day Peak Allocation (GB): This field specifies the peak value, in GB, for the allocated storage over the last 30 days.
LUN Count: This field specifies the total number of Logical Units (LUNs) associated with the cloud group.

The System LUNs, Total Allocated, and Total Capacity rows provide summary information:

System LUNs includes all LUNs that are not associated with a particular cloud group. This value represents storage that is used by the system itself rather than storage used by deployed workloads.
Total Allocated shows how much of the system storage is used by LUNs.
Total Capacity shows what the overall storage capacity of the system is.
The values for Total Allocated and Total Capacity are equal.

For all columns, percentages are expressed in terms of total storage capacity.
