Modifying add-ons

You can modify any add-on that is not configured as read-only to suit the changing needs of your environment.

Before you begin

You must be assigned the Create new catalog content role or the Workload resources administration role with full permissions to complete this task.

About this task

You can modify any add-ons that are not read only and to which you have write access.
Multisystem environment considerations
  • If you are modifying add-ons in a multisystem environment, the operation takes place only on the local system.
  • For information about the fields on the Add-Ons page, see Fields on the Add-Ons page.

Procedure

  1. Click Catalog > Add-Ons. The Add-Ons page displays the list of add-ons that are currently available. The list is displayed in a table format, providing some basic details about each add-on.
  2. Select the add-on to be modified.

Add-ons that have the locked symbol next to their name in the list are configured as read-only and cannot be modified.

  3. Modify the detailed information fields as needed.
For more information about the add-on details, see the Related reference.

What to do next

You can optionally lock the add-on against future modification, and then you (or other users or groups with appropriate access) can associate the add-on with one or more virtual system patterns.
