Delete an add-on from the catalog and remove any associations
with virtual system patterns.
Before you begin
To complete this task, you must either have the Create new catalog content permission
and be granted all access to the add-on that
you want to delete, or have the Workload resources administration role with full permissions.
Add-ons that are in use cannot be deleted. Before you delete an add-on,
ensure that it is no longer needed by any virtual system pattern with
which it is associated.
About this task
Multisystem environment considerations
- If you are deleting add-ons in a multisystem environment,
the operation takes place only on the local system.
- For information about the fields on the Add-Ons page,
see Fields on the Add-Ons page.
Procedure
- Click . The Add-Ons page
displays the list of add-ons that are currently available. The list
is displayed in a table format, providing some basic details about
each add-on.
- Select the add-on that you want to delete.
- Verify that the add-on can be deleted.
An add-on
cannot be deleted if it is included in any patterns.
- Examine the Included in patterns field
in the add-on details. This field displays links to any patterns in
which the add-on is included.
- Note also that if the add-on is included in any patterns, the Delete icon
is disabled.
- For any patterns in which the add-on is included, click the pattern
link to go to the Patterns page for that pattern.
- From this page, you can remove the add-on part from the part,
or parts, on the pattern.
- Click the Delete icon in the toolbar.
- Click OK.
