Preparing compute nodes for service

To prepare a compute node for service, determine if you need to evacuate instances to another compute node, put the compute node in maintenance mode, and power off the device.

Procedure

  1. Enable ibmeng access for the IBM® service representative.

  2. Check the available resources in the cloud groups.

  3. Quiesce the compute node.

  4. Put the compute node in maintenance mode.
