Downloading MIBs

An MIB is a virtual database that is used for managing entities in a communications network used with SNMP. To use Simple Network Monitoring Protocol (SNMP) to monitor the status of a system that is part of a large group of systems in a data center, you must download a management information base (MIB).

Before you begin

You must be assigned the Hardware administration role with permission to Manage hardware resources (Full permission) to perform these steps.

Procedure

  1. Click System > System Settings.
  2. Expand Events.
  3. Click Download MIB and save the .zip file to your local system.
