Configuring an OpenStack Kilo distribution
Follow this procedure if you are using an OpenStack Kilo distribution of another vendor.
Before you begin
About this task
The
sample scripts use the OpenStack command
line client and require functionality that is provided by version
1.0.3 and later. Ensure that you have an acceptable version installed.
You can do this by running on the OpenStack Controller:

prepare your OpenStack servers,
complete the following procedure.openstack --version
If
you cannot install the version providing the required functions, adapt
the scripts accordingly or run the steps in the scripts manually.Procedure
- Copying the IBM Cloud Orchestrator scripts to the OpenStack servers.
- Stopping all the OpenStack services except Keystone.
- Adding roles, users, and projects to Keystone.
- Installing the IBM Cloud Orchestrator extensions for Horizon.
- Configuring V3 API endpoints for Keystone.
- Creating a new RC file for Keystone V3.
- Installing the simple token extension.
- Configuring the OpenStack services to use the Keystone V3 API.
- Enabling the Cinder V1 API.
- Starting all the OpenStack services and restarting Keystone.
- [Optional] Configuring security groups.
