DB2CONN Resource Table

A CICS® Resource that describes a Db2® connection in an active CICS system being managed by CICSPlex® SM.

The First key field for this resource is NAME.

The following actions are supported:
CONNECT
Connect to the DB2® environment.

The CONNECT action does have a parameter, BUSY, but this is ignored and deprecated. Applications should not specify the BUSY parameter. Note that the BUSY parameter still applies to DISCONNECT and is a required parameter.

DISCARD
Discard the DB2 connection.
DISCONNECT
Disconnect from the DB2 environment.
The parameter data for the DISCONNECT action is: 
   PARM('BUSY(cvda).')

     where:

     cvda = Valid CVDA values for the DB2 connection busy condition WAIT, NOWAIT or FORCE.
FORCE
Force disconnection from the DB2 environment.
REBUILD
Rebuild the security environment.
