Changes to documentation

This section summarizes the changes to the organization or deliverables of CICS® documentation, across supported CICS releases. Use this information to understand significant documentation changes between one release and another. Documentation for all releases of Version 6 is provided together.

Table 1 describes changes to HTML documentation by area.
Table 2 provides information about the availability of PDFs by release.

Performance section	NEW: The CICS V5 Performance Report, previously published as an IBM Redbook (SG24-8298) is included in the CICS documentation online and in PDF.
Reference section		REMOVED with 6.3: CICS executable modules listing is removed.
Scenarios section		REMOVED with 6.3: Using business events to analyze application trends is removed.
Security section		NEW: structure and information
Troubleshooting section		CHANGED with 6.2: Enhancements to trace information, including a new trace term topic and new section How it works: Tracing in CICS. z/OS trace is now covered in Using z/OS trace for problem determination.
Upgrading section	Upgrading information is provided in full in the latest CICS TS product documentation.	NEW with 6.2: Changes to security section to summarize changes to CICS security, including changes to RACF® classes. Stabilization notices and discontinued functions section to summarize technologies that are stabilized in CICS.
