- You can install the documentation of multiple, related products into one single, local Knowledge Center in your own environment.
- You can install a Knowledge Center on one of your intranet servers.
- You can access the installed product documentation with a limited Internet connection.
You can access the installed product documentation from other applications .For example, Knowledge Center Installers allows you to access the documentation from Eclipse applications. IBM Knowledge Center for z/OS provides a LookAt application for accessing message documentation. There are some features of the internet-hosted IBM Knowledge Center, such as providing feedback, that rely on internet connections or services, and these are not available in the local version.
The documentation in Knowledge Center Installer and IBM Knowledge Center for z/OS is refreshed on a schedule that is independent of product releases. As a result, there might occasionally be temporary differences between the CICS Transaction Server documentation in the locally-hosted Knowledge Centers and the documentation in the internet-hosted IBM Knowledge Center and PDFs.
