Configuring identity propagation on CICS Transaction Server

The steps required to configure identity propagation on CICS® Transaction Server.

CICS Transaction Server requires the following:
  • All IBM z/OS versions that are supported by CICS Transaction Gateway.
  • Versions of CICS Transaction Server that are supported by CICS Transaction Gateway.
  • An IPIC connection with USERAUTH set to IDENTIFY.

If the CICS Transaction Gateway making the request and the CICS server are not in the same sysplex (for example when a resource adapter using a local Gateway issues requests directly to CICS), an SSL connection is required to allow the use of USERAUTH=IDENTIFY.
