Configuring the CICS Server

In this exercise, you will run the Java sample program EciB2 on CICS TG, which will send data to a server program, ECIREADY on CICS TS.

The server program is supplied with your CICS TG container image. You will need to configure this program on CICS Server.

Your CICS system administrator needs to:
  1. Install the ECIREADY sample program and make it available.
  2. Define a TCPIPService to enable IPIC connection autoinstallation as described in the scenario Configuring an autoinstalled IPIC connection (SC08).
  3. Provide you with the host name or IP address and port that you will need to connect CICS TG to the CICS server. The port is the port number defined in the TCPIPService.
