Introduction

Fencing is the ability to make a node unable to run resources, even when that node is unresponsive to cluster commands. Fencing is also known as STONITH, an acronym for “Shoot The Other Node In The Head”, detail fencing reference Fencing. A fence agent or fencing agent is a stonith-class resource agent. Reference for general fence information: Fence Agents.

The IBM® Cloud Infrastructure Center includes KVM management node and z/VM® management node, Following is fencing configuration for these two type management nodes:

z/VM management node Fence configuration.

Note: The scenario of mixed KVM and z/VM management nodes in cluster isn't supported yet.
