Adding an array pair to the VMware VLSR

Use this information to add an array pair to VMware Live Site Recovery (VLSR).

About this task

Important: In stretch cluster configurations, both array managers must reference the same Ceph cluster.

Procedure

Log in to VMware Live Site Recovery (VLSR).
From the Site Pair tab, go to Configure > Array Based Replication > Array Pairs to open the Array Pairs pane.
Click ADD to open the Add Array Pair wizard.
On the Storage replication adapter tab, select IBM Storage Ceph Storage Replication Adapter and click NEXT.
On the Local array manager tab, enter the following array manager information and then click NEXT.
1. Enter a name for the array manager.
  
  Note: Use a unique name. An existing array manager name cannot be used.
2. Fill in the Local array manager form and click NEXT.
  Fill in the information for the protected local IBM Storage Ceph storage system.
  Fill in the Location field for stretch configurations with the gateway location.
  Note: The Location field is only used with stretch configurations. The location must match the gateway location.
On the Remote array manager tab, enter the array manager information, and click NEXT.
1. Enter a name for the remote array manager.
  
  Note: Use a unique name. An existing array manager name cannot be used.
2. Fill in the Remote array manager form and click NEXT.
  Fill in the information for the recovery, remote IBM Storage Ceph storage system.
  Fill in the Location field for stretch configurations with the secondary location.
  Note: The Location field is only used with stretch configurations. The location must match the secondary location.
On the Array pairs tab enable the array pairs, and click NEXT.
On the Ready to complete tab, click FINISH.
The Array Pairs page is displayed.

What to do next

If there are new replicated devices that need to be discovered, click DISCOVER DEVICES to refresh.
