Limitations

Understand the current limitations of the IBM Storage Ceph S3 Object Browser in this release.

The following limitations apply to the S3 Object Browser in this release:

Deployment on non-cluster nodes

The Object Browser service can be deployed through the Ceph Dashboard only on nodes that are part of the Ceph cluster. Deployment on systems that are not part of the cluster is not supported through the dashboard and must be performed by using the CLI deployment method.

Directory-level actions

Actions such as Download, Delete, and Share are not supported for directories. These operations are considered bulk actions and are not available for directories in this release.

Automatic refresh after upload

After uploading files or folders, the uploaded objects are not displayed automatically in the object list. You must manually refresh the view to see newly uploaded objects.
