Deploying a Ceph cluster

Use the IBM Storage Ceph Provisioner wizard to discover Ready Nodes, configure cluster settings, and deploy a IBM Storage Ceph cluster.

The IBM Storage Ceph Provisioner wizard provides a guided workflow that steps you through node health verification, registry authentication, network configuration, node validation, Ceph version selection, IBM Call Home configuration, and final deployment.

Before you begin, make sure that the following prerequisites are in place:

  • At least four IBM-certified Ready Nodes are connected to the provisioning and Ceph networks.
  • SSH access to all Ceph nodes is verified and the default root password is changed.
  • IBM entitlement keys and registry credentials are available.
  • The Provisioner server has outbound connectivity to cp.icr.io.
  • BIOS, firmware, and BMC (iDRAC/IPMI) settings are configured according to IBM Storage Ready Node guidance.
