New features and enhancements

This section lists all the major updates, and enhancements introduced in this release of IBM Storage Ceph Multi-Cluster Manager.

Multi-Cluster Manager deployment images are now available through IBM Cloud Container Registry

Previously, IBM Storage Ceph Multi-Cluster Manager deployment images, including ISO, QCOW2, and VMDK files, were distributed through IBM Fix Central.

With this enhancement, deployment images are distributed as OCI artifacts through IBM Cloud Container Registry (ICR). Each Multi-Cluster Manager release is independently versioned, making it easier to identify and retrieve a specific version of Multi-Cluster Manager. You can use the ORAS (OCI Registry As Storage) CLI to download the required deployment images and deploy Multi-Cluster Manager in your environment. As a result, deployment image distribution is streamlined and access to Multi-Cluster Manager releases is simplified.
