IBM® Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) offers various services for commercial Maximo® SaaS offerings. For more information on FedRAMP-specific information, refer to the FedRAMP section.

IBM SRE team overview

Who we are:
The IBM SRE team consists of 120+ professionals across Canada, the US, Brazil, Costa Rica, Ireland, India, China, and Australia.
Our experience:
Hosting and managing Maximo systems in the IBM Cloud® for over 15 years.
Focus:
Solely dedicated to delivering Software as a Service (SaaS) for Maximo
Services provided:
Infrastructure management and operational support for both products.
Supporting over 200 Maximo SaaS Flex customers.
Customer environments range from 10 to 1,000+ users in production.

IBM SRE provisioning and configuration services

IBM SRE offers comprehensive provisioning and configuration services as part of the IBM SaaS subscription, helping ensure optimal system performance for Maximo environments. The services that are offered are:

System sizing and provisioning:
Configuring application and database servers with the appropriate processor cores, memory, and disk space in IBM Cloud data centers
Product installation:
Installing and configuring Maximo in staging and production environments, including middleware (WebSphere®) and database (Db2®) setups
Product upgrades:
IBM SRE manages technical upgrades, feature packs, and version updates. Customers handle their customizations and application upgrades.
HTTPS and SSL setup:
Configuring SSL certificates and DNS for secure browser-based access through HTTPS for all customers.
SSO and SAML authentication:
Offering LDAP authentication setup and integration with customer identity providers.
SFTP setup:
Secure FTP configuration for file transfers and access to server logs.
IPsec VPN setup
Site-to-site VPN configuration for secure integration with on-premises or third-party systems.
Email setup:
Configuring local SMTP servers for processing outbound email in SaaS environments.

Migration to cloud services

IBM SRE provides migration services for Maximo systems from on-premises to IBM Cloud, available as optional, additional services through IBM Lab Services. The Migration Services include:

Lift and shift migrations:
Moving customer systems to IBM Cloud while maintaining the source version and platform, with trial and live production cutovers.
Database conversion services:
IBM Lab Services converts databases from Microsoft SQL Server or Oracle to IBM Db2, reducing third-party licensing costs.
Maximo and TRIRIGA® product upgrades:
IBM Lab Services perform technical upgrades to the latest product versions during cloud migration.
Note: Before migration, the source system must be on a supported version and platform. IBM SRE assists IBM Lab Services or Business Partners during the migration process.

Customer questionnaire for IBM Cloud migration

Completing the appropriate questionnaire helps IBM SRE determine the size and scope of services for potential cloud migrations.

The IBM SRE team provides various services to provision, stand up and allow access to our customer's Maximo or TRIRIGA SaaS environments. These are included as part of the IBM SaaS subscription. IBM SRE services include:

System sizing and provisioning
Application and Database Server sizing and provisioning for each environment in IBM Cloud data centers. This includes sizing of each server tier like appropriate processor cores, memory, and disk space.
