Using the text editor
The text editor is available in the Cover page, Management report, Notes to accounts, and Other information sections of a project and provides rich text authoring and formatting capabilities for report content.
The text editor provides a toolbar with grouped controls for formatting, inserting content, and controlling page layout. The controls are organized into the following functional groups.
History controls
The history controls allow you to reverse or reapply recent edits.
- Undo
- Reverses the most recent edit. You can undo multiple sequential actions.
- Redo
- Reapplies the most recently undone action.
Typography controls
The typography controls define the structural type and visual style of text blocks.
- Block type

Sets the structural format of a text block. The following block types are available:
- Paragraph — Standard body text.
- H1, H2, H3 — Section headings at three levels of hierarchy.
- Bullet list — An unordered list with bullet points.
- Numbered list — An ordered list with sequential numbering.
- Quote — A block quotation, visually offset from body text.
- Font family
- Sets the typeface for the selected text.
- Font size
- Sets the point size for the selected text.
Text formatting
The text formatting controls apply character-level styles to selected text.
- Bold
- Applies bold weight to the selected text.
- Italic
- Applies italic style to the selected text.
- Underline
- Applies an underline to the selected text.
- Strikethrough
- Applies a horizontal line through the selected text to indicate deleted or superseded content.
- Font color
- Opens a color picker to apply a custom color to the selected text.
- Inline code
- Formats the selected text as inline code, rendered in a monospace typeface. Use this format for technical values, field names, or system references within a sentence.
Link and advanced controls
These controls provide additional formatting operations for selected text.
- Text transform
- Changes the capitalization of the selected text. Options include uppercase, lowercase, and title case.
- Superscript/subscript
- Changes the position of the selected text by displaying it slightly above (superscript) or below (subscript) the baseline, commonly used for footnotes.
- Text highlighting
- Applies a background highlight color to the selected text.
- Clear formatting
- Removes all character-level formatting from the selected text, returning it to the default style of the current block type.
Alignment controls
The alignment controls define the horizontal positioning and indentation of text blocks.
- Text alignment
- Sets the horizontal alignment of the current text block. Options are left, center, right, and justify.
- Indentation
- Increases or decreases the indent level of the current text block. Indentation is commonly used within lists to create nested levels.
Content insertion
The content insertion controls allow you to embed objects and structural elements into the report section.
- Links
- Inserts a hyperlink. You can link to an external URL or to a location within the report.
- Images
- Inserts an image into the content area. Images are embedded in the report and appear in the preview and exported output.
- Tables
- Inserts a table for presenting structured data. You can define the number of rows and columns at insertion time and edit cell content directly in the editor.
- Horizontal rule
- Inserts a full-width horizontal line to visually separate content within a section.
- Page break
- Inserts a page break at the cursor position. In the exported report output, content after the page break begins on a new page.
Save and reset
Changes made in the text editor are not saved automatically.
- Save
- Saves all current content in the editor to the database. The Save button is enabled when unsaved changes are present.
- Reset
- Discards all unsaved changes and returns the editor to the last saved state. This action cannot be undone.
